If you’re new to Maui: the park only lets ~150 vehicles into the summit between 3:00–7:00 a.m. HST, and that pass is a $1 vehicle reservation on recreation.gov. Releases hit at 7:00 a.m. HST (60 days out and 2 days out) and often vanish in minutes. We explain the system, show live capacity from our watcher, and text you when cancels reopen.
